SAN DIEGO (AP) -San Diego Chargers center Nick Hardwick will not play against the Broncos on Sunday in the showdown between AFC West leaders in Denver. Hardwick, out since having ankle surgery following the season opener, missed practice on Thursday. The former Pro Bowler returned to practice four weeks ago but he hasn't practiced since a setback last Wednesday. Several players returned to practice, including tight end Antonio Gates and linebackers Shaun Phillips and Shawne Merriman. Offensive tackle Jerom |

The famous Seinfeld character blurted out those phrases when finding out his fix-up girlfriend's menstrual cycle was late. San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson can somewhat relate thanks to a subtle gift his wife, LaTorsha, left for him in his locker before he ran all over the Philadelphia Eagles in Sunday's 31-23 victory at Qualcomm Stadium. | (MySportsbook) - The San Diego Chargers will set their sights on knocking off an NFC East member for a second consecutive week when the Philadelphia Eagles head to Qualcomm Stadium this Sunday for an interconference bout between teams with postseason aspirations. The Chargers looked to be on the verge of being dealt a costly loss by the New York Giants in last weekend's battle at the Meadowlands, but a stout defensive stand and a late touchdown drive engineered by quarterback Philip Rivers lifted the Bolts to |

GIANTS: The Redskins aren't the only NFC East member in a tailspin, with the reigning division champion New York Giants also mired in a four-game skid after this past Sunday's startling 21-20 loss to the visiting San Diego Chargers. Quarterback Philip Rivers, the man whom the Giants traded the day of the 2004 draft for current field general Eli Manning, delivered the winning points via an 18-yard touchdown pass to Vincent Jackson with just 21 seconds remaining. | (MySportsbook) - It appears lightning could be about to strike twice for the San Diego Chargers in their quest for a fourth consecutive AFC West title, since they've won three in a row to pull within a game of the division lead. The Chargers got a colossal breakdown from Denver to snag a third straight AFC West crown a year ago, and the Broncos seem to have lost their edge again with back-to-back losses following a sizzling 6-0 start under first-year head coach Josh McDaniels. A once flourishing team is now floundering. Don't look now, but the surging San Diego Chargers (5-3) are closing ground in a hurry in the AFC West. Denver's once 3 1/2-game lead has been whittled to one. ``There is no panic here,'' defensive back Andre' Goodman said. ``We just have to get back to the drawing board.'' Might more moves be o |
