Sacramento, CA (MySportsbook) - The Sacramento Kings exercised their contract option on center Spencer Hawes for the 2009-2010 season on Thursday. Hawes, who was the 10th overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft out of Washington, averaged 4.7 points and 3.2 rebounds in 71 games during his rookie season for the Kings.
