Big Ben should play Sunday, Harrison out with eye injury NFL Football 10/04/2011
Pittsburgh, PA (MySportsbook) - Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin updated the condition of a number of injured players Tuesday and said he expects Ben Roethlisberger to play Sunday despite a foot injury but added that linebacker James Harrison would be sidelined for a few games because of a fractured orbital bone. Both players were among the many Steelers hurt during last Sunday's 17-10 loss to Houston. Roethlisberger managed to finish the game after injuring his left foot during the fourth quarter, wh

Johnson was hurt during the second quarter of Sunday's 17-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers after catching a short pass and turning upfield. He went down without being hit and immediately grabbed the back of his right leg. He left under his own power after being examined on the field and walked to the locker room. Roethlisberger's status uncertain with foot injury NFL Football 10/03/2011

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Ben Roethlisberger's preference would be to play next Sunday when the Pittsburgh Steelers host Tennessee. His body might have other ideas.

The quarterback was scheduled to undergo an MRI on his left foot on Monday after injuring the foot on Pittsburgh's final drive in Sunday's 17-10 loss to Houston. Roethlisberger remained in the game but walked out of the locker room afterward on crutches with the foot in a protective boot.

Roethlisberger isn't the only Steeler whose status is uncertain.

TEXANS GET FOSTER GOING, LOSE JOHNSON The Houston Texans figured to get a big lift with the return of running back Arian Foster for Sunday's game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. The loss of wide receiver Andre Johnson could have easily knocked the wind out of their sails. Instead, the Texans rode the legs of Foster to a 17-10 victory and showed the resolve that was lacking in last week's disappointing loss to the New Orlea

Houston, TX (MySportsbook) - Arian Foster ran for 155 yards, including the go-ahead 42-yard touchdown scamper in the fourth quarter, leading the Houston Texans to a 17-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Reliant Stadium. Foster was back in the lineup after missing two of the first three games this season because of a hamstring injury. He had just 33 yards on 10 carries in his lone previous action -- a Week 2 win against Miami -- and on Sunday demonstrated the form that made him last year's NFL rushing ch

Houston, TX (MySportsbook) - Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hurt his left foot during a 17-10 loss to the Houston Texans. Roethlisberger completed 16-of-30 passes for 206 yards with an interception. He hurt his left foot in the fourth quarter and was given an x-ray after the game, but the results weren't revealed. Painter will make his first career start and replaces Kerry Collins, who left last Sunday's contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers because of concussion- like symptoms. Texans try to prove their worth in test with Steelers NFL Football 09/30/2011
(MySportsbook) - After nearly posting the first 3-0 start in club history, the Houston Texans must rebound this week against a Pittsburgh Steelers team that is still in the process of putting an embarrassing season-opening loss behind them. The Steelers will likely have to contend with Arian Foster this Sunday at Reliant Stadium, and Texans head coach Gary Kubiak thinks the former rushing champ has finally put behind a nagging hamstring injury that has held him out of two of Houston's three games this year. Tomlin: Steelers "not perfect by any stretch" NFL Football 09/27/2011

PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line might not be as banged up as originally thought but coach Mike Tomlin says the team is looking to add some depth anyway.

Right tackle Marcus Gilbert (shoulder), right guard Doug Legursky (shoulder) and left tackle Jonathan Scott (left ankle) all missed time during a 23-20 win over Indianapolis on Sunday night. Tomlin says all three are questionable for Sunday's game at Houston and the team is exploring free agent options.
