| Philadelphia, PA (MySportsbook) - The Philadelphia Eagles signed guard Shawn Andrews to a seven-year contract extension on Monday. A former first-round draft choice in 2004, Andrews broke his right ankle in his first NFL game but the bulky lineman bounced back to start all 16 games last season at right guard and was named an alternate for the NFC Pro Bowl squad. The 6-foot-4, 340-pound Andrews still had four years remaining on his original six-year contract and is now locked up through the 2015 season. |

The five-time Pro Bowl safety could be entering his final season with the Philadelphia Eagles. But Dawkins isn't going to hold out for a new deal or cause any problems. ``Whether it's a contract year, whether it's the first year after a contract, whether it's the third year on a four-year deal, I'm going to try my best to give everything I have regardless of the situation,'' Dawkins said Tuesday.< |
