Smith, 34, is a veteran of 14 NHL seasons, scoring one goal and nine assists in 77 games last season with Philadelphia. | Ottawa, ON (MySportsbook) - The Ottawa Senators announced today that the club has signed wingers Shean Donovan and Jarkko Ruutu to multi-year contracts. Donovan, 33, signed a two-year deal to stay with the team for which he scored five goals and 12 points in 2007-2008. | Ottawa, ON (MySportsbook) - The Ottawa Senators signed journeyman netminder Alex Auld to a two-year contract, the team announced Tuesday. Auld has played in parts of six seasons with Vancouver, Florida, Phoenix and Boston. The 27-year-old split time, appearing in 32 contests, with both Phoenix and Boston last season, posting a 12-13-5 mark with a 2.32 goals against average.
