The Broncos showed they can run the ball a little bit as well in this past weekend's 23-3 road rout of the rival Oakland Raiders, with the duo of Correll Buckhalter and promising rookie Knowshon Moreno combining for 198 yards and a touchdown to help Denver improve to 3-0 under first-year head coach Josh McDaniels. | (MySportsbook) - One of the best receivers in the game will get a chance at beating a highly-touted cornerback, as wideout Andre Johnson leads the Houston Texas against Nnamdi Asomugha and the Oakland Raiders this Sunday at Reliant Stadium in a battle of 1-2 teams. Johnson has emerged as one of the top go-to receivers in the game and gives Houston a chance to win on a weekly basis with his big-play ability. The 6-3, 225-pound Miami-Florida product came through with 86 yards on four catches in last week's 31 |

When the Chargers step onto the Heinz Field turf Sunday night for a game that could make their season and break Pittsburgh's, they will have played there as many times since November as the Pitt Panthers. The Oakland Raiders once went 20 years without playing in Pittsburgh, and the Kansas City Chiefs have played there once in the last 20, but this will be the Chargers' third game there in 11 months. ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) -Javon Walker's surgically repaired knee is fine. He runs without a hitch and can break in and out of his cuts fluidly. The Oakland Raiders veteran wide receiver just can't get on the field. While coach Tom Cable tries to figure out how to inject life into the NFL's 31st-ranked offense, Walker - a Pro Bowl pick in 2004 while with Green Bay - spends his afternoons lining up with the scout team in practice. ``I'm always the other team's number one receiver,'' Walker said. ``Going in |

HOUSTON (AP) -Don't expect any trash talking with Andre Johnson and Nnamdi Asomugha matched up Sunday when the Houston Texans host the Oakland Raiders. Along with being two of the best players in the league, the receiver and cornerback are also among the most quiet. The pair may keep lips zipped on the field, but the mild-mannered Johnson couldn't help but tease his friend about the three-year, $45.3 million contract he signed in the offseason. ``I asked him for a loan when he signed his new contract, |

A 3-0 start to an NFL season certainly helps those faithful followers, and Denver is witnessing its fair share of hype after Sunday's 23-3 victory over the AFC West-rival Oakland Raiders. First-year head coach Josh McDaniels is off to a promising start after an ugly training camp and preseason seemed as it would be a grotesque prelude to failure. "We have always had confidence regardless of everybody else's opinion," said McDaniels |
