The close losses to the Bengals and Falcons were explainable maybe, but how they can reconcile this - losing to the Oakland Raiders, a team that looked a few weeks ago like it might not win a game. ``But this team, we've got a lot of pride,'' linebacker James Farrior said after a 20-13 loss Sunday in Oakland left the Steelers tied for last place in the AFC North. ``Our season' |

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -Head linesman John McGrath left Sunday's game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders late in the first quarter with what appeared to be a right leg injury. With 1:57 left in the quarter, McGrath was hurt while signaling Oakland's Ronald Curry down by contact after he made a catch and the ball popped loose. He was helped off the field and examined on the Pittsburgh sideline. The game continued with six officials instead of seven. Copyright © 2005 The Associated |

| on Sunday, when they head to legendary Lambeau Field on Sunday for a showdown with the Green Bay Packers. After defeating San Francisco in the season opener, the Cardinals have dropped every game since, including last Sunday's 22-9 loss against the Oakland Raiders. It was Oakland's first win of 2006, after losing 11 straight dating back to last season. Rookie quarterback Matt Leinart failed in a third bid for his first win as an NFL starter, completing only 13-of-32 passes for 203 yards, no touchdowns and two |

| in between probable and doubtful. Ben Roethlisberger, who was last seen sprawled unconscious on the field in Atlanta, is questionable this week. The Pittsburgh Steelers said so, meaning their star quarterback may or may not play Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Questionable. It's a word that can be used to describe many things. Let's begin with the judgment of anyone involved with the Steelers who actually believes it is a good idea to rush back Roethlisberger after two concussions in four months. H |

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) -Jerry Porter was reinstated by the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday after the NFL and the players' association agreed to cut his four-game suspension in half. Porter was suspended Oct. 15 for insubordination a day after being kicked out of practice by coach Art Shell. The NFL Players' Association appealed the suspension the following week, calling it ``excessive.'' But changes were expected after the offense mustered just three field goals in a 22-9 loss to the previously winless Oakland Raiders. With the Cardinals (1-6) off to their worst start since 1997, Green has already changed his starting quarterback and his offensive coordinator. Even with all the changes, criticism of the line has been a constant. ``You hear things, and it does |

| in a 20-12 defeat in Charlotte during Week 5. The pessimist, and probably the realist as well, needs only to refer to the bottom line to support his or her outlook. The Browns have only one win to their credit right now, and that was over the awful Oakland Raiders. And that one didn't come easy, as Cleveland had to score the game's final 21 points to eke out a 24-21 decision back in Week 4. Sunday's 17-7 home loss to the Broncos also provided some ammunition for both points of view. The optimist can take sola |

| (MySportsbook) - There is no need to speculate any longer, the Oakland Raiders will not go 0-16 this season. The Raiders started off the season with five straight losses, and many folks believed Art Shell's club had a chance to be the first team to go winless in a year since the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers went 0-14. Oakland smelled blood this week as the Arizona Cardinals rolled into town fresh off their stinging Monday Night loss to Chicago. The Raiders wasted no time in the victory, scoring the first 17 po |
