| d there have been better medicine for the Seattle Seahawks than this? A listing Seahawks ship, one that had dropped three out of its last four games and had suffered myriad injuries on the offensive side of the ball, got the privilege of playing the Oakland Raiders on Monday night. And at the end of a 16-0 Seahawks manhandling that was never really in doubt, Mike Holmgren and company were able to hang their collective hats on the following: -The defense that had slipped to 28th in the league with 25.3 points a |

| d ended up with three interceptions against "Big Ben". Once again, cornerback Champ Bailey was the big playmaker on defense for the Broncos, as the six-time Pro Bowler came up with a pair of interceptions. Bailey, who also had seven tackles, is second in the NFL with five picks this year. That's pretty impressive considering opposing offenses usually try very hard to keep the ball away from Bailey. UP NEXT The Broncos will have another road test next week, when they battle the Oakland Raiders at the Coliseum. |

If Green is going to be back in the starting role it apparently won't be until the November 19 game against the Oakland Raiders, because the Chiefs are saying that Huard will start next Sunday's game against Miami. TURNOVER A NEW LEAF Kansas City's defense showed its opportunistic side this Sunday, as it came up with three turnovers against the Rams. The Chiefs came into the |

SEATTLE (AP) -Oakland Raiders defensive end Tyler Brayton was ejected late in Monday night's loss to Seattle for kneeing Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens in the groin at the end of play. Brayton and Stevens were pushing and grabbing at each other's shoulders away from a 4-yard run by Mack Strong with 1:54 remaining in the hot-tempered game that Seattle was leading 13-0. Officials penalized Brayton for unsportsmanlike conduct and he was ejected. The four-year veteran walked directly off the field into |

SEATTLE (AP) -Seneca Wallace's sharp passing, including a 22-yard touchdown to Deion Branch, led the Seattle Seahawks to a 10-0 lead over the Oakland Raiders after one quarter Monday night. The Seahawks scored on their first possession after a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty on the Raiders' coaching staff at the end of a play pushed Seattle into Oakland territory. Maurice Morris, starting again because reigning league MVP Shaun Alexander remains out with a broken foot, ran 17 yards. Then Wallace, maki |

SEATTLE (AP) -Followers of the Oakland Raiders have been sent to the record books often this season to quantify how bad the team has been. Worst start to a season since 1964, longest losing streak since 1962, second-worst offensive performance since 1970, worst shutout loss at home ever. That's the kind of season it's been so far in Oakland. After an 0-5 start sparked talk of a winless season, the Raiders (2-5) have shown some signs of life by winning two straight games. And now they have a chance to |

| (MySportsbook) - The watch is on for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and that focus does not concern the team's imminent climb up the AFC North ladder. At 2-5, and fresh off a loss to the woeful Oakland Raiders last week, NFL observers have now begun charting whether the reigning Super Bowl champs will post the worst regular season encore in league history. The Denver Broncos, who will look to extend the Steelers' misery at Heinz Field this week, know a little something about that record, because they own it. Afte |
