| Philadelphia, PA (MySportsbook) - I don't excite easily. Oh sure... a playoff win for the New York Jets, a front-row seat at a Springsteen concert or a fleeting glimpse of Alyssa Milano in any post-"Who's the Boss" role usually gets it done... but outside of that holy trinity, it takes a bit more work. That said, I think the big show in Vegas this weekend might be enough. When Ricky Hatton and Jose Luis Castillo collide Saturday night at the Thomas & Mack Center - home to some of college basketball's |

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) -Eric Mangini is big on togetherness. So the New York Jets' second-year coach called off practice Saturday to join forces with the military. A day after a group of soldiers from Fort Bragg, N.C., visited minicamp - and even participated in some drills during the afternoon session - Mangini canceled the final minicamp workout to do some ``off-site team building that incorporates the military.'' While the location of the bonding session was not made available, it was evident that Ma |

Corwin Brown, who had been the New York Jets DBs coach, takes over for Rick Minter, and will institute a change from a 4-3 defense to a 3-4. HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) -The final play. Six seconds remaining, the ball on the 20, no more timeouts. The New York Jets had to score. Chad Pennington took the snap, faded back, stepped outside the pocket and lofted a pass into the end zone. In the midst of a gaggle of groping players, Brad Smith soared, tipped the ball in the air, then cradled it as he fell to the turf. Touchdown. The catch was greeted with a few hoots and hollers, about all anyone can expect during a minicamp in mid-June. But for Smit |

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) -Pete Kendall was down on one knee on the sideline away from the rest of his teammates, his left hand cupping his chin as he stared out at the field. The New York Jets' first-team offense ran through drills Thursday while the veteran offensive lineman barely appeared to be a part of the team. If Kendall gets his wish, he won't be for much longer. Kendall has asked the Jets to trade or release him because of a bitter contract dispute, and his frustration and anger were clear as he |
