FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -New York Jets safety Jim Leonhard is having surgery on his broken right thumb, and coach Rex Ryan is uncertain how long he might be sidelined. Ryan said Leonhard is having surgery Monday, adding ``that doesn't sound good to me.'' He is unsure of the nature of the procedure, or whether Leonhard would be sidelined this weekend or longer. Leonhard was injured early in the first quarter on Maurice Jones-Drew's 33-yard touchdown run in the Jets' 24-22 loss to Jacksonville on Sunday |

That's why the Jacksonville Jaguars coach told running back Maurice Jones-Drew to take a knee at the 1-yard line in the final minutes during Sunday's 24-22 win at the New York Jets. ``Books have been updated,'' Del Rio said Monday. ``I really don't have an answer to when it's changed and how it's changed. It has changed. There are things that you kind of learn that the so-called book percentages don't always apply.'' ``For |

| (MySportsbook) - Will the truly mediocre AFC pretender please stand up? When they meet in the soon-to-be demolished concrete bowl alongside the East Rutherford Sheraton this weekend, that'll be the question both the Jacksonville Jaguars and host New York Jets are desperately trying to avoid. With both stuck at 4-4 through eight games, the winner Sunday will be a step closer toward actually competing for a playoff berth in a conference where 10 of 16 teams have at least four wins. | Orchard Park, NY (MySportsbook) - The Buffalo Bills took wide receiver James Hardy off the reserve/physically unable to perform list on Wednesday, the team announced. The second-year player suffered an ACL tear in a loss to the New York Jets last December, and was not ready to begin the 2009 campaign because of the daily grind of the football schedule. Hardy, who was a second-round choice by Buffalo in the 2008 draft, had nine catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games during his rookie year. In |

Fitzpatrick rallied the Bills to beat the Jets, and then went 1-1 in two starts. Buffalo's offense has sputtered for the past six games, and ranks among the worst in the NFL.
