| Browns contacted the Cleveland field office about the threats shortly after the Oct. 5 incident. Wilson would not discuss the nature of the threats or who made them. He says the FBI is no longer investigating any threats. Edwards was traded to the New York Jets two days after he allegedly punched a friend of NBA star LeBron James in the altercation. Browns spokesman Bill Bonsiewicz says it's not unusual for the team to communicate with local law enforcement agencies about such matters.Copyright © 20 |

Nick Harper already was out after breaking his right arm last week in a 31-9 loss to Indianapolis. Defensive back Vincent Fuller, who broke his right arm, practiced and is questionable. He has not been cleared yet for contact. Rooki |

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -Rex Ryan fumed after the New York Jets' defense failed to stop Miami and its wildcat formation Monday night, calling the unit's performance an ``embarrassment.'' He was still angry the following day, making it clear he wasn't taking the 31-27 loss lightly. ``It's blunt-force trauma,'' Ryan said of his criticism of the team. ``We went the first four games giving up three touchdowns, but we did that in the fourth quarter alone. That's it. It is what it is. There's no way in h |

RENTON, Wash. (AP) -It's not exactly ``Give Me the Damn Ball!'' that old autobiography by Keyshawn Johnson, the outspoken former New York Jets receiver. Yet each week, Seahawks wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh spews more dissatisfaction with his first season with Seattle. ``I just got to get these coaches to realize, throw me the ball,'' Houshmandzadeh said Friday, another variation on a public request he's had for weeks. ``Maybe I've said it too much,'' he said. ``I just got to show them now.'' | Hempstead, NY (MySportsbook) - New York Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bills due to a hamstring injury. Cotchery, who injured his hamstring last Thursday in practice, was able to play Monday night against the Dolphins. However, he caught just one pass for four yards in that contest. The sixth-year receiver didn't practice at all this week due to the injury. "I know it's been reported that J-Co's (Cotchery) already out, but that's news to me," Jets |

This is nothing new for Favre, who has made a career out of spreading the ball around, be it for 16 seasons in Green Bay or his last one with the New York Jets. ``I have no favorites,'' Favre said. ``Now do I throw over here and this guy is wide open? Absolutely. It happens all the time.'' Heck, Favre even completed a pass to himself this season. It happened last week against the Rams, when the ball wa |
