Rams' Norwood, Porter ready to run against Ravens Headlines 09/24/2011

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The St. Louis Rams may be forced to use a pair of backups at running back against Baltimore on Sunday.

Steven Jackson injured his right quadriceps in the opener against Philadelphia and did not play in Monday's loss to the New York Giants. Cadillac Williams, who rushed for 91 yards in replacing Jackson against the Eagles, hurt his hamstring in the first quarter against the Giants. Williams finished the game but gained just 36 yards on 13 attempts.

." The Rams will hope that the Ravens' struggles last another week as they try to avoid a third straight loss to begin the year. St. Louis entered the season with high hopes in a wide-open NFC West, but have lost games to the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants by a combined margin of 30 points. In the spotlight with a Monday night game at New York, the Rams struggled to score points and committed some costly errors in a 28-16 defeat. Vick ready to roll as Eagles host rival Giants NFL Football 09/23/2011
(MySportsbook) - The Philadelphia Eagles aren't entirely sure whether Michael Vick will be at quarterback for Sunday's tussle with the New York Giants from Lincoln Financial Field, though the defending NFC East champions have been able to achieve success against their longtime division rivals lately regardless of who's been under center. Vick is tentatively expected to play in Philadelphia's 2011 home opener despite suffering a slight concussion during the third quarter of last Sunday's marquee matchup at A

Giants bring back Clayton to replace injured Hixon NFL Football 09/23/2011
East Rutherford, NJ (MySportsbook) - The New York Giants have signed wide receiver Michael Clayton to replace the injured Domenik Hixon. Hixon was officially placed on injured reserve because of a torn ACL, ending his season. He was hurt during Monday's win against St. Louis, suffering his second torn right ACL in as many years. Clayton appeared in six games for the Giants last season after being signed in late November, then was among the final roster cuts earlier this month. He caught two passes for 45 ya

The star quarterback has apparently been cleared to return from his concussion and play on Sunday against the New York Giants. But Eagles head coach Andy Reid doesn't want to reveal any information to the Giants. Reid has yet to name his starting quarterback for Sunday's game. At this point, it seems pretty clear that Vick will get the start if he has no setbacks. Philadel
Bradford, Rams making red zone work a priority NFL Football 09/22/2011
uis Rams' inability to finish drives is one of the biggest reasons they're 0-2 for the fifth straight season.

They've scored only two touchdowns over the first two games and were thwarted three times inside the 10 in their Monday night loss to the New York Giants, leading to a larger chunk of practice Wednesday devoted to red zone offense.

``The more we can do down there, the better,'' Bradford said. ``That's the one area you don't usually get a lot of work in during the week. So anytime we can steal a cou
