NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The Saints have placed first-year receiver Rod Harper on injured reserve with a stress fracture in his left foot. The move made room on the roster to bring back rookie quarterback Chase Daniel, the former Missouri standout who New Orleans waived on Monday. Harper returned two punts for touchdowns in the preseason. But he was stuck behind a deep group of receivers and has not been active for a regular-season game. The Saints (4-0) host the New York Giants (5-0) on Sunday.Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. But they are using Goldman Sachs to help them investigate a sale. ``They're not certain they are even sellers,'' New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch said, adding that he expected a decision by the end of the season. ``We can't speculate on potential owners because they have not brought up any names to put before ownership.'' Russell, who hasn't tossed a touchdown pass since Week 1, was also sacked six times on Sunday and has been taken down 15 times in 2009. He |
