| AFC South: Colts still winning, but where's the offense? |
NFL Football |

| (MySportsbook) - Even on a day when the Indianapolis Colts effectively wrapped up the AFC South, the penetrating questions came. Even as they moved to 8-0 with their 20-17 victory over the pesky Houston Texans, joining the New Orleans Saints as one of only two unbeatens in the NFL in 2009, the Colts could be found almost apologizing for their play. Such are the expectations that come with carving out a reputation as one of the league's most prolific offenses, one led by perhaps the greatest signal-caller of al |

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -The Carolina Panthers deactivated wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad and safety Charles Godfrey against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday because of lingering injuries that also sidelined the pair at Arizona a week earlier. Muhammad has a sprained right knee and Godfrey a right ankle injury. The Panthers announced Dwayne Jarrett would start for Muhammad and Sherrod Martin for Godfrey. Carolina also deactivated tight end Dante Rosario. The Saints scratched linebacker Scott Fujita, who missed his |

| (MySportsbook) - Better play over their last four games has the Carolina Panthers thinking they can get back into the playoff mix. A win over the undefeated New Orleans Saints this weekend would go a long way in validating those beliefs. Carolina faces its toughest matchup of the season Sunday at the Superdome, where they will take on a New Orleans club that is aiming for its first-ever 8-0 start. Despite minimal roster turnover, the Panthers have hardly looked like the club that went 12-4 last year, a season |

| o last season. Also, Sunday's opponent, the Washington Redskins, have lost three straight games and have yet to post a road win this season. That formula should be enough for the Falcons to rebound from last Monday's 35-27 setback to the first-place New Orleans Saints. Atlanta fell three games behind 7-0 New Orleans in the standings, but was able to hang tough against one of the top teams in the NFL. The Falcons won the turnover battle, 4-3, but couldn't capitalize on their chances. Quarterback Matt Ryan had an i |

METAIRIE, La. (AP) -Drew Brees sounds like a man who's embarrassed, and not because of all the compliments he's getting over the New Orleans Saints' perfect record through seven games. The Saints' past two victories have been riddled with errors, starting with eight turnovers, six of which were committed by the quarterback with four interceptions and a pair of fumbles. ``You look at it - four turnovers against Miami, four again against Atlanta - and those were good football teams we played and we were able |

SAINTS: Even when the offense is down, the defense is right there to pick up the New Orleans Saints. For a second straight week, the Saints turned the ball over four times. After Drew Brees was picked off three times and lost a fumble in a 46-34 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 7, New Orleans lost three fumbles and Brees was intercepted onc |
