DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder and nose tackle Jason Ferguson are listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. Both have been limited in practice this week, including Friday. Crowder missed last week's win against the New York Jets with a left shoulder injury, and Ferguson has an elbow injury. Reggie Torbor would again replace Crowder in the lineup. Torbor tied for the team high with seven tackles against the Jets. Paul Soliai would make the first sta |

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -The New England Patriots have released guard Kendall Simmons. Friday's move came after Simmons was inactive for six of his seven games with the team. He played only on special teams on Oct. 18 in a 59-0 win over the Tennessee Titans. Simmons, 30, signed with the Patriots on Sept. 6 after being waived by the Pittsburgh Steelers. They chose him with the 30th pick of the first round in 2002 out of Auburn and he started all 80 games in which he played during seven seasons with Pittsburgh. |

| sinking ship that is the Buffalo Bills, and two over the New York Jets and their rookie quarterback and head coach, there isn't much for Fins fans to hang onto to suggest the arrow is pointing up for this team. Which is why Sunday's trip to meet the New England Patriots is so extraordinarily important for Tony Sparano and his charges. Win, as Miami did last year when it unveiled the "Wildcat" in a shocking 38-13 win at Gillette Stadium, and the Dolphins will find themselves at 4-4 and just one game back in the AFC |

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -The excitement doesn't start until Wes Welker catches a short pass from Tom Brady. Then the NFL's leading receiver leaves defenders grabbing air as he weaves through them for extra yards. The New England Patriots follow the same pattern - a promising beginning to a season and a better ending. For them, the key to success is wins after October. For Welker, it's yards after catch. ``Understanding coverages is the key thing, and knowing where defenders are and which way to turn and when |

| sometimes the defense -- they have a little bit to do there." By the way, Delhomme's deal is slated to run though 2014. BUCCANEERS: Even a trip across the pond wasn't enough to get the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on track. Playing against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots probably didn't help either. Opponent aside, the Buccaneers got a chance to get away from the pressure of being a winless team. Perhaps a game at Wembley Stadium in London would be enough for Tampa Bay to get its collective head on straight. However |

| (MySportsbook) - When you have a 50-touchdown season on your resume', perhaps everything that follows is bound to pale in comparison. As it happens, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has the only 50- touchdown season in NFL history, set during the team's magical-until-the end 18-1 season of 2007. Brady's 2009 pace - 15 touchdowns in seven games - will put him at just under 35 on the campaign. He might not have another 50-TD year in him before his certain Hall of Fame career ends, and it's highly possibl |
