| ed to hunt, fish and, in the early days at least, have a beer or two, well, his birth certificate may have said Mississippi but he was Wisconsin to the core. No wonder an entire state is angst-ridden over Sunday's game at Lambeau Field against the Minnesota Vikings, the Packers' loathsome rival - and Favre's new team. ``I have a real problem with that. It was hard enough to see him with the Jets. But to see him in purple?'' Tammy Rainville asked, watching her 9- and 7-year-old sons collect autographs outside |

| even in mild-mannered Green Bay. And that, Favre said, felt ``kind of a kick in the stomach.'' Bring it on, Vikings defensive end Jared Allen says. ``They might still like Brett, but they're Packer fans,'' Allen said. ``They're going to boo the Minnesota Vikings. It's not going to hurt my feelings. They're not going to make me cry. As a matter of fact, I expect good harsh ripping-on. I want to hear some funny stuff out there.'' And while it's only Week 8, the stakes couldn't be much higher for both teams. |

PITTSBURGH (AP) -Ben Roethlisberger can get sacked even during an off week. A scoring change has given the Minnesota Vikings an additional sack of Roethlisberger during Pittsburgh's 27-17 victory on Sunday. Roethlisberger was sacked four times, giving him 20 for the season. A play in which Roethlisberger was initially given a 1-yard loss on a run has been changed to a sack by Minnesota's Kevin Williams. Roethlisberger is on pace to be sacked 46 times, as many times as he was dropped last season. Roeth |

And while Favre's return to Lambeau Field on Sunday is stirring up angst among Packers fans unsure how to jeer or cheer a once-popular Packer turned Minnesota Vikings villain, one thing is certain: Fans are rallying behind their starting quarterback. ``It's definitely all love, the relationship between myself and the fans,'' Rodgers said. ``It's good.'' And what's not to like? Going into Sunday's game, Rodg |

RAVENS: At least the Baltimore Ravens got a week off in between their contests against undefeated opponents. The Ravens were unable to deal the Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the season back on October 18 -- though the Steelers did knock off the Vikings this past weekend -- and now host the 6-0 Denver Broncos this Sunday. Baltimore lost three straight to take a 3-3 mark into the break and are two game |

NFL Football |

| (MySportsbook) - There were no late-game heroics this time, and Brett Favre proved to the world that he is not, in fact, a cyborg. Sure, the Minnesota Vikings largely outplayed the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Heinz Field, but a couple of senior moments by Favre turned what could have been the Vikes' first 7-0 start since 2000 into a 27-17 loss. When it comes to Favre, you take the frequently good with the occasional bad, and there's no question that the scale has been heavily weighted in favor of the for |

| Pittsburgh, PA (MySportsbook) - Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield was listed as inactive for Sunday's road test in Pittsburgh. Winfield sat out practice this week with a sprained right foot he suffered in last week's thrilling 33-31 triumph over Baltimore. For the second straight week a shoulder injury threatened the availability of wideout Percy Harvin, but the rookie out of Florida was active against the defending Super Bowl champs. He played in the win against Baltimore after having missed time |

| Much offense expected in Steelers-Vikings tilt |
NFL Football |
10/24/2009 |

| (MySportsbook) - A previous glance at this weekend's game between the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field would have likely conjured up images of a defensive onslaught. Mental pictures of the Vikings' Jared Allen stuffing repeated attempts by the Steelers to run the ball alongside defensive lineman Pat and Kevin Williams would probably have burst to the brain in the Twin Cities. On the other side, fans of the Black and Gold would be painting portraits of Troy Polamalu grabbing passes out |
