EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Brett Favre's career isn't quite over yet. Minnesota Vikings interim coach Leslie Frazier says the team is hoping to have Favre back this season - and possibly this week. Favre's NFL-record streak of starting 297 straight games ended when a sprained throwing shoulder and numb hand kept him out of Monday's game against the New York Giants. Frazier said Tuesday that an ultrasound on Favre's neck and shoulder showed no nerve damage. He said the 41-year-old quarterback's pain was su |

Word started to leak out Monday afternoon that the Phillies were indeed the mystery team and by the time the New York Giants finished off the Minnesota Vikings later that night it was clear where Lee was going to sign. In fact once Yankees officials got word that Philly was the team lurking, they knew they were done. And they were right because Lee has stunned the baseball world, agreeing to a deal with th |

The NFC-East co-leaders were forced to spend two days holed up in a Kansas City hotel after a severe winter storm re-routed the team's intended flight to Minneapolis for a test against the Minnesota Vikings initially scheduled to take place on Sunday. The teams would face one another the following night, but in a different locale after heavy snow caused the roof of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome to collapse and render the facility unplayable. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings were already falling apart under the weight of conflict and injuries this season - and then the roof of their domed stadium literally collapsed. The cave-in from a weekend snowstorm seems a fitting metaphor for a team with a 41-year-old wounded quarterback in Brett Favre, an interim head coach after the firing of Brad Childress and a losing record in a season that started with Super Bowl aspirations. The Vikings have won both of their games since the coaching chang |
