EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Touting Leslie Frazier's communication style, crisis management skills and credibility with players, the Minnesota Vikings decided to strip the interim tag from the former NFL cornerback and make him their head coach. Frazier stressed a team-first mentality on Monday, and a belief that ``it's only a matter of time'' before the championship-deprived franchise wins a Super Bowl. He vowed a thorough examination of the roster, the staff and the scheme on both sides of the ball to ge |

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings have reached an agreement with Leslie Frazier to be their next coach. The Vikings announced Monday they're removing the interim tag from Frazier's title. Frazier took over Nov. 22 when Brad Childress was fired, and the Vikings went 3-3 under him. The defensive coordinator under Childress and a former cornerback for the Chicago Bears, Frazier had a clear command of the locker room as he guided the Vikings through the end of a disappointing, dramatic season. |

Of the seven teams that finished 6-10, the San Francisco 49ers will pick seventh, followed by the Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings and Lions. The 13th spot is an unfamiliar location for Detroit, which has made five top-three picks since 2002. | Detroit, MI (MySportsbook) - Shaun Hill threw for 258 yards and a score as the Detroit Lions took a 20-13 win over the Minnesota Vikings in what may have been the last game of Brett Favre's career. However, Favre went out with a whimper instead of a bang as the Minnesota quarterback sat out the season finale. Favre suffered a concussion two weeks ago against Chicago and missed last Tuesday's snow-delayed game against Philadelphia. EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings have added wide receiver Bernard Berrian to the injury report, listing him as questionable for the game at Detroit with a quadriceps problem. The Vikings finish the season against the Lions on Sunday in what Brett Favre has said will be his last game. The 41-year-old quarterback is listed as doubtful, due to a concussion he sustained against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 20. Vikings spokesman Bob Hagan said the team would have no update on Favre's status Saturd |

| (MySportsbook) - If Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre's history of indecisiveness has any bearing, Sunday's season finale against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field may not be the future Hall of Famer's last game. But then again, what Favre has had to endure in 2010 will most likely lead to the gunslinger's third -- and this time permanent -- retirement. Favre's been dealing with elbow, shoulder and neck issues and is hoping to get clearance to play on Sunday following a concussion suffered against Chica |

Wearing his red quarterback jersey, a helmetless Favre didn't participate in any drills during the Vikings practice Friday. Interim coach Leslie Frazier would not say whether Favre has passed the post-concussion testing required by the NFL to return to action. He suffered a head injury against Chicago on Dec. 20.
