Bears-Vikings game moved to late afternoon NFL Football 11/11/2009
New York, NY (MySportsbook) - The NFL announced Wednesday that the November 29 game between the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings at the Metrodome will be moved from 1 p.m. (et) to a 4:15 p.m. (et) start. The move was made to accommodate broadcast patterns as it's currently the lone late game in FOX's doubleheader. A final Week 12 schedule of games will be released no later than 12 days prior to that Sunday, as per the league's flexible scheduling guidelines.

And no victory, of course, since Brad Childress' team was on a bye, though that doesn't mean the Vikings didn't win a little something. With losses by the Bears, Lions, an

Green Bay can exhale this week with a road test against the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium, and is trying to erase the memories of last week's tough 38-26 loss to the NFC North-rival Minnesota Vikings in Favre's return to Lambeau Field. Rodgers was sacked six times on Sunday and has been brought down a league-high 31 times in 2009. He is also dealing with foot and toe injuries that have hampered him during this week's practice. GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and receiver Donald Driver practiced Friday and are probably for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.

Rodgers suffered a sprained toe in last Sunday's 38-26 loss to the Minnesota Vikings and has been coping with a sprain in his other foot the past few weeks.

Coach Mike McCarthy said Rodgers was able to do everything in practice Friday and didn't have limited mobility. The coach said Driver had a good practice after treatment for a neck injury.

New York, NY (MySportsbook) - Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers and St. Louis Rams kicker Josh Brown have been named the NFC's top players for Week 8 of the NFL season. Favre, playing at Lambeau Field against the Packers for the first time, guided Minnesota to a 38-26 win over Green Bay to take the offensive honor. He completed 17-of-28 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns, with no interceptions, for a 128.6 passer rating. It was his 21st career four

That's the day the NFC playoffs begin, and the Green Bay Packers hope to hold a place of residency in that bracket. If the Pack (4-3) gets there, chances are the Minnesota Vikings (7-1) will be somewhere within close proximity in the playoff field. EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings have arrived at their bye week with a 7-1 record and only a handful of bumps and bruises.

The injuries include a groin muscle to Favre that acted up during warmups before Sunday's win at Green Bay. Coach Brad Childress says he wasn't concerned about his 40-year-old quarterback.

Other key players who could use time to rest include left guard Steve Hutchinson (back) and wide receiver Percy Harvin (shoulder). Cornerback Antoine Winfield has miss
