Teams Running All Over Rams NFL Football 11/07/2006
ame, the same weaknesses surface for struggling teams. In the case of the St. Louis Rams, that weakness is run defense. The Rams dropped their third straight game, and second in a row at home, while giving up 186 yards rushing in a 31-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Chiefs running back Larry Johnson arrived in St. Louis confident he could match LaDainian Tomlinson's performance from last week -- when the Chargers RB steamrolled the Rams for 183 yards. Johnson almost did, rushing 27 times for 172 yard
Chiefs continue to roll NFL Football 11/07/2006
(MySportsbook) - The Kansas City Chiefs have changed their postseason outlook drastically in the last few weeks, but they can't afford to rest on their laurels now. The Chiefs started the year 2-3, and things were looking pretty bleak after a 45-7 pounding in Pittsburgh on October 15. However, the team has bounced back with three straight victories that have come as a direct result of improved offensive play. Kansas City scored 87 points through its first five games of the season, and has tallied 96 points dur

ending a four-game losing streak, now comes the prospect of winning two in a row. The Dolphins just finished a stretch of playing four times on the road in five games. Now they'll play four of their next five at home. It starts with a visit from the Kansas City Chiefs. Kansas City has won three in a row, scoring at least 30 points in each game, to vault into playoff contention at 5-3. And they've done it with backup quarterback Damon Huard, who played with Miami from 1997-2000 and started six games -- including f

Rams' Jackson breaks out as a receiver NFL Football 11/05/2006

ST. LOUIS (AP) -Steven Jackson is filling Marshall Faulk's shoes quite nicely as a double-threat back for the St. Louis Rams.

Jackson hauled in a career-high 13 passes for 133 yards Sunday in a 31-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. It was the first time a Rams back has recorded a 100-yard receiving day since Faulk had 128 yards at Atlanta on Dec. 2, 2002. Jackson also carried the ball 19 times for 86 yards, including a two-yard touchdown.

It was natural for Jackson, who was a backup to Faulk before earning

``Tony has a pretty significant knee injury,'' coach Scott Linehan said. ``It appears to be pretty serious.''

Fisher had two returns for a 21.5-yard average and his replacement, Kevin Curtis, had four returns for a 19.8-yar

Postseason Position on the Line in NFL's Battle of Missouri NFL Football 11/03/2006
(MySportsbook) - Are the Kansas City Chiefs a legitimate playoff contender? Are the St. Louis Rams? "Show me," will be the directive given by both the 66,000 fans at the Edward Jones Dome and those watching throughout the State of Missouri on Sunday, as the NFL's two entries from the 24th state square off in the Gateway City. The visiting Chiefs are among the hottest teams in football, having won four of their past five games to move within a game of Denver and San Diego atop the AFC West. Kansas City's resurg
