KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -The Kansas City Chiefs could be down to their third-team free safety at Jacksonville on Sunday. They're also working cornerbacks at the safety position to use in an emergency.

The Chiefs (1-6) announced Tuesday that three-year starter Jarrad Page was going on injured reserve. But veteran Jon McGraw, who had started the past two games in Page's place, is also hobbled and may not play.

That will bring DaJuan Morgan over from backup strong safety and may even give reserve cornerback Mau

Kansas City, MO (MySportsbook) - The Kansas City Chiefs acquired Chris Chambers off waivers on Tuesday, a day after the wide receiver was released by the San Diego Chargers. Chambers was cut loose on Monday following the emergence of pass catcher Malcolm Floyd. The 31-year-old, who was obtained by San Diego from Miami prior to the 2007 trade deadline in exchange for a second-round pick, recorded just nine catches for 122 yards and a touchdown in seven games with San Diego this year. Kansas City, MO (MySportsbook) - The Kansas City Chiefs have reached a settlement with Larry Johnson, agreeing to reportedly pay the running back for one of the two weeks he was suspended. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -The Kansas City Chiefs have reached a settlement with Larry Johnson and agreed Monday to withhold only one week's pay for making gay slurs instead of two.

The settlement saved the two-time Pro Bowl running back about $315,000. His agent, Peter Schaffer, had threatened to take the matter to arbitration.

The Chiefs refused any comment other than to say they had finalized the settlement. Schaffer told the AP on Saturday night the agreement had been reached and needed only to be signed.<
