JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard has been cleared to practice and play after passing post-concussion tests. Garrard passed the NFL-mandated tests Tuesday, then worked out at the facility. Coach Jack Del Rio said Monday that Garrard would start Sunday's game at Dallas if he received clearance. The Jaguars (3-4) don't have many choices. Backup Luke McCown is on injured reserve with a knee injury, Trent Edwards has a badly sprained thumb on his throwing hand and last we |

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed starting right tackle Eben Britton on injured reserve and signed veteran offensive tackle Erik Pears. Britton tore the labrum in his right shoulder Sunday at Kansas City, will have surgery and be sidelined at least four months. Pears, a 6-foot-8, 305-pounder from Colorado State, has started 30 games since entering the league as an undrafted rookie with Denver in 2005. After spending four seasons with the Broncos, Pears signed with Oakland in 2009 |

While Britt helped Collins rack up 276 passing yards, the 37-year-old signal- caller also turned the ball over three times and its probably safe to assume that Young will be back under center this weekend if healthy. JAGUARS: The Jacksonville Jaguars probably wish their bye was coming one week earlier. The Jaguars are currently dealing with a personnel mess under center that is putting the 3-4 club in a tight spot. With starter David Garrard not even making the trip to Kansas City this past week |

NFL Football |

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -Lopsided losses are becoming routine for the Jacksonville Jaguars. So are inept running performances, turnover-filled passing games and some of the worst defensive lapses in the team's 16 seasons. The result for the Jaguars (3-4) has been four losses by at least three touchdowns this season, including Sunday's 42-20 setback at Kansas City that raised more questions about coach Jack Del Rio's future with the franchise. Through seven weeks, Jacksonville has posted its worst two home |

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Another injured quarterback would be just about the last thing the Jacksonville Jaguars need, or even deserve. So do they have one? Todd Bouman, who played admirably in his first action since 2005, said he hurt a finger on his throwing hand while trying to make a tackle in the closing minutes of Kansas City's 42-20 victory Sunday afternoon. He wouldn't say how badly he was hurt. ``I have no idea at this point,'' he said. ``I will wait and see what happens. I will find out tomorrow. |
