``It was a pipe dream,'' he said.

Atkins is among four guys who own season tickets together for the Cowboys, so he already knew he would be spending his Halloween afternoon watching Dallas play the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Then, two weeks ago, one of the other guys snagged four tickets behind home plate for Game 4 of the Series, which also was Oct. 31. The rub, of course, was that the Rangers had to make it.

They did, and the foursome headed out for a sports dude

Jags' Garrard active against Cowboys NFL Football 10/31/2010
Arlington, TX (MySportsbook) - Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard is active for Sunday's matchup with the Dallas Cowboys. Garrard missed Jacksonville's week seven loss at Kansas City and has not played since he suffered a concussion during the Jaguars' 30-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans on October 18. With under seven minutes to play in the first half, Garrard took a hard hit from linebacker Will Witherspoon on third down. Garrard did not come out for Jacksonville's next possession. Cowboys down to 3rd-string LG Costa vs. Jaguars NFL Football 10/31/2010

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys were without their starting left guard and their top backup, making undrafted rookie Phil Costa a starter against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

First-stringer Kyle Kosier has an ankle injury and backup Montrae Holland a groin problem. Defensive end Jason Hatcher also was out with a groin problem.

The Cowboys also were without starting quarterback Tony Romo because of a broken left collarbone. He watched from the sideline with his left arm in a sling.

Jaguars waive QB Ramsey NFL Football 10/29/2010
Jacksonville, FL (MySportsbook) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived veteran quarterback Patrick Ramsey. Ramsey was signed nine days ago after quarterbacks David Garrard and Trent Edwards suffered injuries in a Monday night loss to the Tennessee Titans. He did not play in a game during his short tenure with the Jags. Garrard is expected to be recovered enough from a concussion to be the starter for Sunday's game against Dallas and the team also has veteran Todd Bouman serving as his backup. Garrard is listed a

am in NFL history to host a Super Bowl. Their chances at accomplishing that feat are all but gone now, thanks to a shoulder injury to Tony Romo. Still looking for its first victory at Cowboys Stadium this season, Dallas plays host this Sunday to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are expected to have their No. 1 quarterback back under center for this contest. The 2010 season was one filled with high expectations for Dallas, which was hoping to be playing on its home turf when Super Bowl XLV rolled around come February.
Jags bench DE Harvey, to start Mincey NFL Football 10/27/2010
Jacksonville, FL (MySportsbook) - The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Wednesday the decision to sit starting defensive end Derrick Harvey and start Jeremy Mincey. A former first-round pick (eighth overall) out of Florida, Harvey has been disappointing in his third pro season, recording only six tackles and one sack in seven games for the 3-4 Jags, who head to Dallas this coming Sunday. The benching means the 23-year-old ends his consecutive-games played streak at 26, dating back to his rookie campaign of 2008.
Jaguars finally bench former 1st-rounder Harvey Headlines 10/27/2010

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have benched former first-round draft pick Derrick Harvey, sending a strong message to the three-year starter while promoting Jeremy Mincey.

Harvey, the eighth overall pick from Florida in 2008, has started 39 games, including 24 in a row. But his production never matched his potential.

Harvey, the defensive MVP of the 2006 Bowl Championship Series title game, has 126 tackles and just six sacks despite playing every game in his three seasons.

"We have a lot of work to do." CHIEFS: Do not adjust your sets, but the Kansas City Chiefs are still in first place. Head Coach Todd Haley and his charges maintained a 1 1/2-game lead on the Oakland Raiders by virtue of their 42-20 thrashing of the Jacksonville Jaguars this past Sunday, while opening up a 2 1/2-game bulge on both San Diego and Denver in the division after those two lost to New England and Oakland, respectively. Not a bad start for a team that won just four times in 2009 as a whole, but it's still
Jags place OT Britton on IR NFL Football 10/26/2010
Jacksonville, FL (MySportsbook) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed offensive tackle Eben Britton on injured reserve with an undisclosed shoulder injury. Britton was injured in the first half of the Jaguars' 42-20 loss at the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. He has appeared in 22 games, all for Jacksonville, in his two NFL seasons. The Jags took him in the second round of the 2009 draft out of Arizona. In a corresponding move, the Jaguars signed fifth-year offensive tackle Erik Pears. In 44 career games with the
