| Jets get a dose of reality in Jacksonville |
NFL Football |

| (MySportsbook) - To say the New York Jets were not at their best on Sunday in Jacksonville is kind of like saying Alex Rodriguez has a small problem hitting in the postseason. The Jets were dominated in every facet of the game on Sunday, as the Jacksonville Jaguars pounded them, 41-0. And to be honest, it was not even that close. Chad Pennington had perhaps his worst game as a pro, and was 10-for-17 for 71 yards with three interceptions and an abysmal career-low 28.9 passer rating. All three of his picks resulte |

| Jacksonville, FL (MySportsbook) - Jacksonville Jaguars middle linebacker Mike Peterson will miss the remainder of the season with a torn pectoral muscle, announced coach Jack Del Rio on Monday. Peterson sustained the injury early in Jacksonville's 41-0 win over the New York Jets on Sunday, but Del Rio wasn't sure exactly when it occurred. Since joining the team in 2003, Peterson has led the Jaguars in tackles. He has posted 32 tackles this season, and his best campaign came last year when he recorded 131 tackles |

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -Already missing their best pass rusher, the Jacksonville Jaguars will be without their best tackler for the rest of the season. Linebacker Mike Peterson, the team's top tackler the last three years, tore a pectoral muscle in the 41-0 victory against the New York Jets on Sunday and is out for the season. It's the latest setback for a defense that lost Reggie Hayward in the opener and linebacker Pat Thomas the following week. Tests Monday determined the severity of Peterson's injury. C |

Coach Jack Del Rio said Peterson likely will get a second opinion, but he was confident Peterson will be place on injured reserve. ``It's unfortunate,'' Del Rio said. ``Mike is obviously a very goo |

| Jacksonville, FL (MySportsbook) - Byron Leftwich got the better of Chad Pennington in the battle of former Marshall quarterbacks as the Jacksonville Jaguars blanked the New York Jets, 41-0, at Alltel Stadium. Leftwich completed 9-of-20 passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns and Reggie Williams caught four passes for 53 yards and a TD for Jacksonville (3-2), which snapped a two-game losing streak. "I think we're beginning to grow up as an offense," Leftwich said. "We're so young. Everything is finally coming tog |

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -The Jacksonville Jaguars might have suffered a big loss in their big win Sunday. Linebacker Mike Peterson, who leads the team in tackles for the fourth consecutive season, strained a pectoral muscle early in the 41-0 victory against the New York Jets and did not return. ``I don't know how serious that is,'' coach Jack Del Rio said. ``I know it's serious enough that he couldn't return to the game. ... | (MySportsbook) - Another chapter in the storied rivalry between the Washington Redskins and New York Giants unfolds on Sunday at the Meadowlands. The Redskins come into East Rutherford still riding the wave of their overtime win against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week at FedEx Field. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without Pro Bowl defensive tackle Marcus Stroud, receiver Matt Jones and defensive end Marcellus Wiley against the New York Jets on Sunday.
