Jacksonville, FL (MySportsbook) - Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Byron Leftwich missed practice Friday because of a sore left ankle and was added to the team's injury report as questionable for Sunday's game against Houston. The injury apparently occurred during practice on Thursday, although Del Rio said there was nothing n

(MySportsbook) - The Jacksonville Jaguars are fresh off their bye week, and will seek to dust off the cobwebs Sunday afternoon against the Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium. Jacksonville entered the break with a 41-0 stomping of the New York Jets at Alltel Stadium on October 8. Byron Leftwich threw two touchdown passes in that blowout, while Fred Taylor had 111 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries and Maurice Jones-Drew added 59 yards on 13 carries with two scores for the Jaguars, who are 3-2 and second behind In

Tony Wyllie, the vice president of communications for the Houston Texans, said the team had been in contact with the NFL regarding what security precautions should be taken for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In Indianapolis, where the Colts were preparing for a home game this weekend, head coach Tony Dungy said, ``I've been waiting for this to happen for a couple of years now and you try and handle the security and put it out of your mind.''

important for us to get our first home win," said quarterback Chad Pennington. "You can't lose at home and allow teams to think they can beat you at home." Pennington bounced back from perhaps his worst game as a pro in last week's shutout loss the Jacksonville Jaguars, as the 30-year-old signal caller ended 17-of-29 for 175 yards with the two touchdowns and no interceptions. "I can't tell you how good this win feels," said Pennington, who tossed three interceptions in the loss to Jacksonville, while throwing for

Williams goes from cold to hot for Jags NFL Football 10/12/2006
E, Fla. (AP) -Reggie Williams just got out of the cold tub. He's dripping wet, shivering and answering questions through chattering teeth.

He needs a dry towel.

He decides to wait, something he learned to do during his first two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Williams sits on a small stool beside his locker, creating a puddle on the carpet, and talks candidly about never losing confidence despite consecutive disappointing seasons, and how it feels to finally start meeting lofty expectations that came

Jaguars agree to terms with CB Carroll NFL Football 10/10/2006
Jacksonville, FL (MySportsbook) - The Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to terms with free agent cornerback Ahmad Carroll on Tuesday. Carroll is expected to officially sign a contract with the team on Wednesday. The 23-year-old Carroll was released last Tuesday by the Green Bay Packers after a dismal performance in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. With the Eagles holding a slim 10-9 lead in the third quarter, Philadelphia receiver Greg Lewis beat Carroll for a 45-yard touchdown reception. Then, on the Eagl
