INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Indianapolis Colts have fired longtime running backs coach Gene Huey. His star pupils included Marshall Faulk and Edgerrin James. Huey had five different 1,000-yard runners in Indy, but the Colts ranked near the bottom of the league in rushing in each of the last three seasons. Huey has coached in 304 games since 1992. The firing first was reported by WTHR-TV in Indianapolis.Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. The information contained in the AP News r |

Jets coach Rex Ryan has caused a ruckus each of the past two weeks, singling out a ``personal'' rivalry against the opposition. First, it was the Indianapolis Colts. Next, it was the Patriots. Along the way, his players have joined in. Cornerback Antonio Cromartie even used an expletive to describe Patriots quarterback Tom Brady last week. But the Steelers maintain they won't be dragged into it. ``We don' |

| (MySportsbook) - For the second straight week, Rex Ryan is taking it personally. The New York Jets head coach initially used the word "personal" when describing a matchup with Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning in the AFC Wild Card round, which was won by the Jets, 17-16, this past Saturday courtesy of a last-second field goal by kicker Nick Folk. It was the first time a Ryan-coached defense had beaten Manning and his Colts in a meaningful game, dating back to Ryan's time as defensive coordinator wi |

Ultimately, though, giving Drew Brees and Peyton Manning time to throw wasn't enough. New Orleans and Indianapolis graded out well once again in the New York Life Protection Index on wild-card weekend, but both teams saw their hopes of a return to the Super Bowl slip away. | (MySportsbook) - For the third time in four seasons, the Indianapolis Colts are one-and-done in the playoffs. Of course, the Colts won Super Bowl XLI to cap the 2006 season prior to this current stretch and were the defending AFC champions heading into Saturday's matchup with the Jets, but would you believe that Peyton Manning is now 9-10 in the postseason following a last-second 17-16 loss to New York? Now, no one is going to argue against Manning going into the Hall of Fame when his stellar career is over, b |
