Defense rests: Eagles are in trouble NFL Football 11/29/2006
(MySportsbook) - The Philadelphia Eagles continued their fall from grace with an embarrassing 45-21 road loss against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Eagles were completely overmatched on defense and couldn't stop Colts rookie running back Joseph Addai, who ran for 171 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries. Addai breezed past Philly's defense like a hot knife through butter, and sent the Eagles to their second straight loss and fifth in six games. Philadelphia is 5-6 this season and in third place in t

Dallas avoided a letdown from last week's emotional victory over the previously-unbeaten Indianapolis Colts, but did open Thursday's game in sluggish fashion. Tampa Bay grabbed a 7-0 lead early on, but never took control and trailed 21-10 by halftime. Two more TD passes by Romo and a field goal by Mike Vanderjagt sealed the deal in the second half. That w

Peyton Manning didn't have to throw much because the Colts ran at will against a defense that has struggled mightily against the run. Rookie Joseph Addai rushed for 171 yards and the Colts finished with 271 yards on the ground, be

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Ricky Proehl's agent said the veteran receiver signed Monday with the Indianapolis Colts, who have been without Brandon Stokley for most of the season.

The 38-year-old Proehl agreed to a one-year deal that would be prorated on a $1.2 million base salary, his agent Alan Herman said.

The Colts made no announcement about the signing, and coach Tony Dungy said earlier Monday that the team was talking with Proehl. Herman declined to elaborate on the negotiations.
