| Houston, TX (MySportsbook) - The Houston Texans signed free agent defensive end Jarvis Green on Thursday. The 31-year-old out of LSU last played for the New England Patriots during the 2009 season. Over nine years of NFL experience, all with New England, Green had 232 tackles with 28 sacks. The move was made after the Texans placed defensive end Mario Williams on the IR Wednesday due to a sports hernia. |

| Houston, TX (MySportsbook) - The Houston Texans on Wednesday placed defensive end Mario Williams, guard Mike Brisiel and wide receiver David Anderson on injured reserve. Williams, the first overall pick in the 2006 draft, had been bothered by a sports hernia injury for most of the season. In 13 games this year, the North Carolina State product recorded 28 tackles and a team-leading 8 1/2 sacks. The 6-foot-6, 295-pounder will miss the first game of his career this Sunday after making 77 consecutive starts. |
