| >Gatlin, who faces an eight-year ban from track and field following a positive drug test, worked out for Cardinals officials Tuesday, team spokesman Mark Dalton said Friday. Gatlin, who has not played football since high school, worked out for the Houston Texans on Nov. 28. The 24-year-old sprinter still shares the world 100-meter record of 9.77 seconds, but that will be wiped off the books once his doping penalty becomes official. Gatlin tested positive for testosterone and other steroids at the Kansas R |

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -When the NFL schedule came out, Sunday's visit by the Houston Texans to the New England Patriots looked like an easy win for the home team. Deep into a season, with too many penalties and turnovers and too few talented wide receivers, a win of any kind would satisfy the three-time Super Bowl champions. After splitting their last six games, they're hardly peaking for the playoffs. ``We better get it turned around quick,'' fullback Heath Evans said. ``Otherwise, this'll get ugly r |

This one is equally good from top to bottom, so good that the top pick, Mario Williams, is belittled despite 4 1/2 sacks and the potential to be an impact defensive end for a decade or more. That's because the Houston Texans took him over Bush and didn't even consider hometown product Vince Young, both of whom have proven every bit as good as the hype that preceded them. And because DeMeco Ryans, a linebacker the Texans chose with the first pick of the second round, has |

| (MySportsbook) - The Jaguars have been tough to figure out this season, but after this week's blowout win over Indianapolis, it will be hard not to call them impressive. Sure, Jacksonville (8-3) has those two inexplicable losses to the Houston Texans this season, but also has victories over the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys. However, this week's 44-17 triumph over the Colts says something different about this Jaguars club. The lopsided win came agains |

| (MySportsbook) - The roar of thousands of fans at Reliant Stadium on Sunday would lead one to believe the Houston Texans were victorious in an overtime contest with the Tennessee Titans. This was not the case however, as the Houston crowd was on their feet giving hometown boy Vince Young a standing ovation, after the rookie quarterback that grew up just minutes from the stadium scrambled for a game-winning 39-yard touchdown in overtime for the Titans. Tennessee moved the ball to the Houston 39-yard line in |

On Sunday, Young scampered 39 yards into the end zone in overtime to lead his squad to a 26-20 victory over the Houston Texans (more on them a little later). As Fisher mentioned, this is the third consecutive week that Young carried the Titans on his back late in the game. He rallied his side for a win against the New York Giants on November 26th, then did it the next week |

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Tennessee Titans rookie LenDale White missed his third consecutive day of practice Friday, but did watch as his teammates went through their workout in preparation for their game Sunday against the Houston Texans. The running back has been bothered by the flu as well as a hip flexor strain that he originally injured in practice last week, then re-injured Sunday in a 20-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. ``He's still struggling with the hip flexor,'' Titans coach Jeff Fisher |

| Armstrong made 25 catches for 302 yards with three touchdowns in five regular season games and one playoff tilt last season for Winnipeg. He signed with the club as a free agent on September 19. "The reason I'm coming back is I felt like I was wanted there and the team felt like I could contribute and make plays for them," Armstrong said. Armstrong played 36 games with the Houston Texans of the NFL through 2003-2005. His best season in the NFL came in 2004 when he hauled in 29 passes for 415 yards and a TD. |

Now the former University of Texas star will return to his hometown trying to complete the season sweep against the Houston Texans - a team that passed him over in the draft. ``I know he's going to have a big crowd here this weekend and the kid deserves it,'' coach Gary Kubiak said. ``He's a legend in this town, and he should be with what he did.
