NEW YORK (AP) -Green Bay Packers Johnny Jolly, Al Harris and rookie B.J. Raji have been fined $5,000 each by the NFL for actions in last Sunday's loss to Minnesota.

Packers QB Rodgers rests; T Clifton returns to practice NFL Football 11/04/2009
Green Bay, WI (MySportsbook) - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers sat out practice on Wednesday and will likely rest his injured foot until Friday, according to head coach Mike McCarthy. Starting left tackle Chad Clifton was a full participant in practice after missing four of the last five games with an ankle injury. Rodgers was also limited in practice last week but played exceptionally well in the Packers' 38-26 loss to the Vikings. "He did not participate today [in practice]," McCarthy said. "Wit
Line of Scrimmage: Week 9 - Is pressure off for Packers? NFL Football 11/04/2009
Philadelphia, PA (MySportsbook) - The storyline that wouldn't die is now dead, at least until January 9, 2010. That's the day the NFC playoffs begin, and the Green Bay Packers hope to hold a place of residency in that bracket. If the Pack (4-3) gets there, chances are the Minnesota Vikings (7-1) will be somewhere within close proximity in the playoff field. Perhaps the rival duo will even get to see one another again, in what would be just their second postseason meeting of all time. But unless and until that
Woodson says it's hard to watch Michigan football Division I College Football 11/03/2009

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -Charles Woodson says ``it's hard to watch'' Michigan play football.

The Green Bay Packers cornerback says he's even getting flak from a current teammate who played for the Cincinnati Bearcats.

``Can you believe that?'' Woodson asked reporters Tuesday during a visit to Ann Arbor.

Woodson won the Heisman Trophy and led the Wolverines to the national championship in 1997.

its division, with game No. 2 coming this Sunday at home versus 3-4 Carolina. BUCCANEERS: With nothing left to lose, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will finally give 2009 first-round draft choice Josh Freeman his first career start this weekend versus the Green Bay Packers. Head coach Raheem Morris made the announcement last Wednesday and the move came as no surprise, since the Buccaneers were on their bye last weekend. At 0-7, it seems to make little sense in keeping Tampa Bay's quarterback of the future on the sidel
NFC North: After Favre drama, is pressure off for Packers? NFL Football 11/03/2009

Packers' Rodgers hobbled, expected to play Sunday NFL Football 11/02/2009

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers came out of Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings with a sprain on one foot and sprained toe on the other.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy says Rodgers could miss time in practice this week but is expected to play Sunday at Tampa Bay without hurting his mobility.

It's been a long year for Rodgers. He has been sacked 31 times overall - worst in the NFL - including six by Minnesota on Sunday.

Rodgers was limping after the game but said he expe

Favre hears boos everywhere he turns at Lambeau NFL Football 11/01/2009
P) -This sure wasn't the reception Brett Favre used to get at Lambeau Field.

Favre was booed loudly when he and the Minnesota Vikings took the field for their first offensive series Sunday, and there were more whistles and jeers anytime the former Green Bay Packers icon got near the ball. This is Favre's first trip back to Green Bay since signing with the Vikings, the Packers' loathsome rival.

Tom Fields had pretty much every piece of Brett Favre memorabilia there is, and he and his buddies had already planned their road trip for whenever the quarterback is enshrined in the Hall of Fame.

Then Favre signed with the Minnesota Vikings, the Green Bay Packers' fiercest, most hated rival.

``That was just a dagger in the heart,'' said Fields, whose Favre jersey now has ``JUDAS'' on the back and big red slashes through the 4s. ``I'll be booing him as loud as I can.''
