Giants stun Packers NFL Football 01/15/2012
Green Bay, WI (MySportsbook) - Hakeem Nicks' 37-yard touchdown catch at the end of the first half proved to be huge, as the New York Giants stunned the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers, 37-20, in an NFC divisional playoff game from historic Lambeau Field. Holding onto a 13-10 lead with six seconds remaining in the first half, Eli Manning launched a Hail Mary-type pass into the end zone. Nicks managed to come down with the ball, giving New York a 10-point cushion at the break. "It was put in a s

Surging Giants aim to turn tables in rematch with Packers NFL Football 01/12/2012
(MySportsbook) - While a berth in the conference championship game is the main prize that awaits the winner of Sunday's do-or-die showdown between the Green Bay Packers and New York Giants from historic Lambeau Field, both combatants in this NFC Divisional Playoff may have a little revenge on their minds as well. The Giants had their 2010 postseason prospects wrecked by a 45-17 thrashing at the hands of the Packers in their most recent stop in Wisconsin, which took place in the second-to-last week of that yea

d irking a few more people this coming weekend. Because unless you're a die-hard backer of the Bay Area's representative in the 2011 playoffs, or you bleed New York Giants blue, chances are you're pulling hard for the blockbuster matchup between the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints to come to fruition. And why not? The Packers and Saints are universally regarded as being the best two teams of this year's NFC crop (if not the entire NFL), have won the last two Super Bowls, possess arguably the top two qua
Giants' Pierre-Paul has right outlook NFL Football 01/11/2012
(MySportsbook) - Some may think New York Giants young defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is foolish for providing the top-seeded and defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers with some bulletin-board material by guaranteeing a victory in this weekend's NFC Divisional Playoff Game at Lambeau Field. Others might believe the disposition of the rising defender was spot on. "We're going to win," Pierre-Paul said following the Giants' triumph over Atlanta in this past Sunday's playoff opener. "One hundred percen

The Oshkosh Police Department released a statement Wednesday, saying the cause of Michael Philbin's death was from fresh water drowning. The release said no other evidence of foul play was discovered during the autopsy. Toxicology results and other studies will not be available for several weeks. McKenzie, a former Raiders linebacker, was named GM last Friday after spending 18 years in the front office of the Green Bay Packers. He had been the club's director of football operations since 2008. He said that he had made his decision prior to Tuesday morning, after studying Jackson. When pressed as to why he fired Jackson, McKenzie gave several reasons. He said he wanted "my
