Packers DE Neal injures knee NFL Football 08/16/2011
Green Bay, WI (MySportsbook) - Green Bay Packers defensive end Mike Neal injured his left knee during Tuesday's practice. Neal, who was expected to replace departed free agent Cullen Jenkins, got his feet tangled up in a non-contact drill and went down clutching his left knee. "The way Mike fell; I saw it from the special teams drill, just the reaction of everybody. It makes you nervous," head coach Mike McCarthy said. Neal, a second-round draft pick in 2010 out of Purdue, will have an MRI and other tests don

Renton, WA (MySportsbook) - The Seattle Seahawks have signed former Green Bay Packers safety Atari Bigby. Bigby played in just four games for the Packers last year after having ankle surgery at the beginning of training camp. The Central Florida product spent the past six seasons with the Packers. He recorded 164 tackles and 10 interceptions in 46 career games. To clear a spot on the 90-man roster, Seattle released fullback Dorson Boyce. The Seahawks also signed rookie wide receiver Brandon Smith and waived/i

Packers visit Bears fan Obama at White House NFL Football 08/12/2011
Washington, DC (MySportsbook) - The Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers were guests of President Barack Obama at the White House on Friday. In a lighthearted ceremony, Obama opened his remarks by saying that, as a devoted fan of the rival Chicago Bears -- who were beaten by Green Bay in the NFC Championship Game -- it "hurts a little bit" to congratulate the Packers. "This is a hard thing for a Bears fan to do," Obama said. "It doesn't hurt as much as the NFC Championship game hurt, but it still hurts; you

Bears fan Obama hosts Packers at White House Headlines 08/12/2011

WASHINGTON (AP) - Welcoming the Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers to the White House was no easy task for President Barack Obama.

Obama is a die-hard fan of the Packers' rivals, the Chicago Bears. And the Packers beat the Bears in the last year's conference championships to reach the Super Bowl.

Still, Obama congratulated the Packers on their victory, as well as the work they do in the Green Bay community. Obama says the team has raised millions for charities, given scholarships to local students, and
