St. Louis, MO (MySportsbook) - Ben Bishop and Marek Schwarz combined for a shutout, and the St. Louis Blues crushed the Florida Panthers, 4-0, at Scottrade Center. Bishop, who at 6-foot-7 is the tallest goaltender ever to play in the NHL, became the starter when Manny Legace injured himself when he tripped on a carpet laid out for vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in Friday's loss to the Kings. Bishop made 12 saves in his first career start, and Schwarz saved all five shots he faced in the win. Bishop

(MySportsbook) - Needless to say, the Republican party may have lost some votes in the state of Missouri. After a freak accident in last night's game, the St. Louis Blues will host the Florida Panthers tonight at Scottrade Center without netminder Manny Legace. The Blues hosted the Kings last night in the fourth game of their current seven-game homestand. Prior to the contest, Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin dropped the ceremonial first puck, similar to what she did in Philadelphia's home

Sunrise, FL (MySportsbook) - Florida Panthers defenseman Bryan Allen will undergo knee surgery Monday in Colorado and will be out indefinitely. Allen had arthroscopic surgery in the offseason to clean out the knee and missed a portion of training camp but returned to play the first two games of the season. However, Allen complained of swelling after Florida's 3-2 overtime win over Atlanta on October 11. Allen, 28, tallied one assist this season. In 373 career games with Vancouver and Florida, he has 20 goals
