| Sunrise, FL (MySportsbook) - The Florida Panthers have traded forward Peter Worrell to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for left wing/defenseman Eric Messier and center Vaclav Nedorost. The move was announced Saturday by Panthers general manager Rick Dudley. Florida also sent the Avalanche a second-round selection in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
