Arlington, TX (MySportsbook) - Texas Rangers pitcher Brandon McCarthy left Monday's 11-8 victory over the Detroit Tigers with a strained flexor tendon in his right middle finger after retiring the first two batters. After throwing a pitch to Magglio Ordonez, which was just his seventh delivery of the game, McCarthy began shaking his hand. The righty called catcher Taylor Teagarden to the mound and manager Ron Washington pulled McCarthy in favor of Luis Mendoza.
