| Cleveland, OH (MySportsbook) - The Cleveland Indians signed free agent starting pitcher Jeff Weaver to a minor league contract Saturday. He will report to Triple-A Buffalo immediately. Weaver, 31, has a career major league record of 93-114 with a 4.72 earned run average in 284 games in parts of nine seasons with the Tigers, Yankees, Dodgers, Cardinals and Mariners. He won three games in the 2006 postseason for St. Louis, which went on to win the World Series. In 2007 for Seattle he went 7-13 with a 6.20 ERA. |
