BEREA, Ohio (AP) -The NFL says the Cleveland Browns did not violate any league policies when rookie running back James Davis was injured during a recent practice. The league reviewed video of the practice session and interviewed Browns players, coaches and team staff. It was determined Davis' season-ending shoulder injury took place in a controlled environment. Browns coach Eric Mangini was comfortable that the team did not endanger James, who was reportedly struck by an unidentified linebacker during a |

BEREA, Ohio (AP) -Nine of the 10 Cleveland Browns who missed practice the past two days with the flu are back with the team. Backup defensive end Corey Williams was the only player still at home, and coach Eric Mangini said he didn't anticipate needing the NFL roster exemption put in place for a team besieged by swine flu. Mangini said there have been no new cases since 12 players missed Wednesday. He expects to have a nearly complete roster for Sunday's game against Green Bay. Pro Bowl nose tackle Sha |

| (MySportsbook) - The Cleveland Browns have moved talent out of town with little hesitation this year. Having already traded tight end Kellen Winslow before the season started and wide receiver Braylon Edwards during it, it appears that first-year head coach Eric Mangini wants this to be his team. Quarterback Brady Quinn has put his house on the market, a move that came after he lost his starting job to Derek Anderson, and a few Cleveland players have also seen their name pop-up in rumored trade talks. | Philadelphia, PA (MySportsbook) - Not that this will cause me to curb my intake of Coors Light, but Romeo Crennel was 24-40 in four seasons as head coach of the Cleveland Browns, and was never what you would call a great sound byte. How in the world does he get one of those Coors Light/fake press conference commercials alongside the likes of the excitable Jim Mora, Mike Ditka, and Jimmy Johnson, among others? I can only assume the Bruce Coslet and Dennis Erickson commercials are currently being edited. Here' |
