A total of 16 players were waived and wide receiver Demetrius Williams had his contract terminated. Williams appeared in two games for the Browns last year after spending four seasons with Baltimore. | Berea, OH (MySportsbook) - Cleveland Browns guard Eric Steinbach underwent back surgery on Tuesday and will miss the entire 2011 season. Browns head coach Pat Shurmur said that Steinbach elected to have the procedure on Monday, after previous treatments meant to alleviate the issue failed. BEREA, Ohio (AP) - Cleveland Browns starting offensive guard Eric Steinbach is out for the season with a back injury. Steinbach underwent back surgery on Tuesday to repair a ``disk issue.''
