| Cincinnati, OH (MySportsbook) - Cincinnati Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto will miss his next scheduled start with a strained right elbow. The rookie right-hander departed from Sunday's 4-3 loss against the Colorado Rockies after three innings. Cueto was examined by team physician Dr. Timothy Kremchek on Monday and was diagnosed with a posterior strain of the elbow, possibly caused by a hyperextension. He will be re-examined Friday. Cueto is 8-12 with a 4.65 earned run average in 27 games this season. |

The righty will be examined Monday in Cincinnati. Cueto threw three hitless innings, despite giving up a run, while striking out four and walking three. The Reds' rookie starter was 8-12 on the year with a 4.74 earned run average going into Sunday's game with 142 strikeouts in 152 innings. He was replaced by Nick Masset. |
