| Chicago, IL (MySportsbook) - The Chicago Cubs placed pitcher Dave Veres on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with tendinitis in his shoulder. The move is retroactive to April 15. Veres joined the Cubs as a free agent after spending the last three seasons with St. Louis. The reliever went 5-8 in 71 appearances last year with a 3.48 ERA and four saves.
