BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - The Buffalo Bills say former University of Pittsburgh coach Dave Wannstedt has met with the team looking to return to the NFL. Wannstedt was forced to resign at Pitt last month. He has an extensive background as a defensive coach, and the Bills had trouble stopping the run in a 4-12 season. The Bills would not discuss details of the meeting. | Buffalo, NY (MySportsbook) - Former Buffalo Bills running back Cookie Gilchrist passed away Monday after a battle with cancer. He was 75. Gilchrist played with Buffalo from 1962-64 and helped the team win the AFL Championship in 1964. He was named the AFL Player of the Year in 1962 when he totaled 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns. He spent six years in the Canadian Football League before joining the Buffalo Bills of the AFL in 1962. He spent three seasons in Buffalo, two in Denver and one in Miami.
