KITTANNING, Pa. (AP) -Mitch Frerotte, an offensive lineman who played in three Super Bowls for the Buffalo Bills, has died. He was 43.

His death was confirmed by the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Frerotte's hometown of Kittanning. He died of a heart attack, according to cousin Gus Frerotte, a Minnesota Vikings backup quarterback.

Mitch Frerotte played four years, including the Bills' Super Bowl seasons of 1990-92, mostly as a reserve and on special teams.

He remained at the helm until 1968, going 33-8-1 in 42 regular-season games. Rauch was 2-2 in four playoff games with Oakland, and led the club to an AFL title in 1967 and Super Bowl II, where it lost to Green Bay. Following the 1968 campaign, when he was replaced by legendary head coach John Madden, Rauch was head coach of the Buffalo Bills for two seasons, finishing 7-20-1.

Rauch's wife, Jane, said Rauch died in his sleep, possibly due to a heart problem.

Rauch was 33-8-1 in three season as the Raiders coach from 1966-68. He also served as head coach of the Buffalo Bills for two years and was an assistant coach with Philadelphia and Atlanta.

``Our hearts go out to his family who we knew well,'' the Raiders said in a statement. ``John Rauch gave us several great years as an assistant and head coach for the Oakland

Bills T Peters misses start of minicamp NFL Football 06/11/2008
Orchard Park, NY (MySportsbook) - Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters was absent for the start of the team's mandatory three-day minicamp on Wednesday. Peters also missed all of Buffalo's voluntary offseason training activities over the past four weeks and was the only Bills player who didn't attend at least one practice. Many have speculated Peters' absence is due to a dissatisfaction with his contract, but that has not been confirmed by the Bills or Peters. "It's not affecting our progress,"

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters will be fined by the Buffalo Bills for missing the start of the team's three-day mandatory minicamp Wednesday, and teammates said his absence might be due to a contract dispute.

``It's a decision he's made and he'll be fined,'' coach Dick Jauron said.

Jauron declined to say whether he or anyone in the Bills' front office had spoken with Peters, who also was the only Bills player to miss all 13 of the team's voluntary sessions over the past mon

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters is a no-show at the start of the Buffalo Bills' mandatory three-day minicamp.

Peters also missed all 13 of the team's voluntary sessions over the past month, the lone Bills player who didn't attend at least one practice.

Bills officials have not discussed the reasons for Peters' absence, but had previously said they expected him to attend the mandatory camp. Neither Peters nor his agent was available for comment Wednesday.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -Not a word has been heard from Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters, who has yet to show up three weeks into the Buffalo Bills' voluntary minicamps.

Backup quarterback J.P. Losman isn't speaking to reporters after his trade request wasn't granted this offseason. And then, of course, there's running back Marshawn Lynch, the principal suspect in a hit-and-run accident, who has yet to talk to investigators, never mind most anyone else.
