ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -Buffalo Bills guard Chris Villarrial and tight end Ryan Neufeld's seasons are over after the players were placed on injured reserve Thursday. Villarrial is considering surgery to repair an overextended tendon in his right ankle, while Neufeld is out with an injured left foot that also may require surgery, the team announced. Both were hurt in Buffalo's 17-16 loss at Indianapolis last weekend. The Bills (3-6) will consider promoting tight end Brad Cieslak off the practice squad |

| (MySportsbook) - It was the classic example of a trap game, and the Colts did just enough to survive it with a 17-16 victory over the Buffalo Bills. After thrilling road wins over AFC powers Denver and New England, with a visit to NFC playoff contender Dallas on the horizon next week, the Colts could easily have overlooked the struggling Bills. They didn't. The score may have indicated the opposite, considering how much of a favorite the Colts were at home, but the Bills had a solid game plan and nearly e |

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -The Buffalo Bills slowed down Indianapolis' fast-track offense Sunday. It wasn't quite enough to stop the NFL's last unbeaten team from making NFL history. A restrained Peyton Manning repeatedly threw the ball underneath, used his ground game effectively and delivered a time-consuming final drive, all the Colts needed to get past Buffalo 17-16, becoming the first team ever with back-to-back 9-0 starts. Manning was masterful when he needed to be on a day the Bills simply refused to l |

| (MySportsbook) - The Indianapolis Colts are the only unbeaten team remaining in the NFL, and will try to make history this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills at the RCA Dome. The Colts can become the first team in NFL history to open consecutive seasons with nine victories by topping the Bills this Sunday. Indianapolis can also thank the Miami Dolphins for knocking off the previously-unbeaten Chicago Bears last weekend at Soldier Field. The Colts exorcised a few more of their Foxboro demons this past weeken |

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -Of all the names London Fletcher-Baker goes by - and that includes his new hyphen-extended last name - he prefers the one his Buffalo Bills teammates have come up with: ``Pops.'' Call him that, and Fletcher's eyes light up and he breaks into a wide and toothy grin, happily slapping the table in agreement. Forget the negative connotation of Pops reminding Fletcher that, at 31, he's not getting any younger. The middle linebacker and nine-year NFL veteran can't think of a more fi |

| Orchard Park, NY (MySportsbook) - Buffalo Bills running back Willis McGahee will be sidelined indefinitely with three broken ribs. McGahee suffered the injury in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Green Bay Packers. He left the game early in the first quarter after being tackled deep in Packers' territory. He was initially diagnosed with one broken rib, but later tests revealed more damage. "It is more extensive than we thought," said head coach Dick Jauron on the team's Web site. "It's not just the ninth (rib), |

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -After watching his players make solid tackles and come close to breaking a long return in recent weeks, special teams coordinator Mike Stock was disappointed with the effort he saw in the Green Bay Packers' loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. ``The downer in the whole thing is we worked to a point where I thought we were going to be ready to bust out,'' Stock said. ``And then we didn't. And in fact, we took a step back. That's the disappointment. Do we have the athletes to do it? |

| full-time starting center this season after Mike Flanagan left as a free agent. By signing Wells now, the Packers can count some of the money against this year's salary cap. Wells took the blame for two fumbled snaps in the Packers' loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday but has earned praise from coaches in his first full season as a starting center in the NFL. ``Scott Wells is as dependable and trustworthy a player as we've got on offense,'' offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski said Monday. --- A |
