He might be especially nervous this year because of his past Super Bowl experiences: all losses.

Polian became GM of the Buffalo Bills in 1986, taking over a team that had been 2-14 each of the two previous seasons.

He had two building blocks - Jim Kelly at quarterback and Bruce Smith at defensive end. He filled in around them with the likes of Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, Corneli

Grossman and his teammates celebrated by punishing the reigning NFC Champion Seahawks (37-6) on national network TV the following week, and reinforced their strength with a demolition of former Chicago head coach Dick Jauron and his Buffalo Bills (40-7) seven days later. It was while they stood at 5-0 that things began to get a bit dicey for the Bears, with Grossman turning into the bright, shining emblem of their perceived weaknesses. Wilson is only the second Steelers' running backs coach since 1972. He replaces Dick Hoak, who held the job for 35 seasons - the longest continuous tenure by an assistant with one team in NFL history.

The 61-year-old Zierlein was the Buffalo Bills' line coach last season after holding the same job with the Browns from 2001-04.

Rex Grossman threw two touchdown passes, Cedric Benson scored his first two NFL touchdowns and the Bears forced five turnovers in a drubbing of Jauron's Buffalo Bills that launched Chicago to its first 5-0 start since 1986.

Robbie Gould kicked four field goals as the Bears ran their scoring margin through five games to 156 points scored and 36 allowed.

Andrews suffered a neck injury in the Eagles' second-round playoff loss to New Orleans.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -Thurman Thomas stood at his father-in-law's hospital bedside, whispering the best words of encouragement he could muster.

``I said, `Hey, you can't quit on me now because we have one more thing to do,''' the former Buffalo Bills star running back said this week. ``'We have to go to the Hall of Fame.'''

Perhaps Bob Mariacher was listening.

Report: Giants and Dolphins to play in London NFL Football 01/13/2007
ew York Giants and Miami Dolphins will reportedly play a regular season game during the 2007 season at London's Wembley Stadium. According to a report in the New York Daily News, the NFL is expected to make the announcement official next week. The paper also states that the Giants will be the designated road team. The report also states that it is possible that the Buffalo Bills could play against the Dolphins instead of the Giants, but that scenario is unlikely because the Giants are a higher profile team.
