Then again, maybe it isn't just the flu that is making the players ill. RAVENS: At least the Baltimore Ravens got a week off in between their contests against undefeated opponents. The Ravens were unable to deal the Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the season back on October 18 -- though the Steelers did knock off the Vikings this past weekend -- and n |

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -For much of the past decade, the Baltimore Ravens strived to create an offense capable of matching the swagger of a defense that annually ranks among the best in the NFL. The Ravens finally have that kind of attack. In their second season under offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, quarterback Joe Flacco and running back Ray Rice have carried a unit that ranks seventh in total yardage and is averaging a robust 28.2 points per game. The defense, however, has been uncharacteristically |

The latest decidedly Favre-ian moment came with 2:59 in the fourth quarter, just after the Vikings had watched a 27-10 fourth-quarter lead morph into a 31-30 Baltimore Ravens lead after a 33-yard touchdown run by Ray Rice. On a 2nd-and-6 play from the Minnesota 24, Favre spotted wideout Sidney Rice running in single coverage with hopelessly overmatched Baltimore cornerback Frank Walker down the right side of the field. The sixth overall pick broke a bone in his left foot two days after ending a contract holdout in training camp. RAVENS: If you had told the Baltimore Ravens after their Week 3 win over Cleveland, a 34-3 rout that improved the club to 3-0, that they would be back to .500 by their bye week, they wouldn't have believed you. Yet that is where the club is after dropping three games in a row by a combined 11 |

A prevalent opinion around the NFL heading into this season was that if the Baltimore Ravens found some offense, they'd be a Super Bowl favorite. It was also thought the Minnesota Vikings would contend if they got a quarterback who could threaten defenses and eliminate those eight-in-the-box alignments to deal with Adrian Peterson. On Sunday, it's purple on purple as the Ravens visit the Vikings, but with the teams headed in different directions. After winning their first three outings with a dominatin |

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -The NFL fined Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis $25,000 on Friday for two separate plays, including a helmet-to-helmet hit on Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco. The Ravens said Lewis will appeal the fine. Both plays occurred in the fourth quarter of Baltimore's 17-14 loss on Sunday. The league deemed that Lewis ``unnecessarily kicked the opponent'' and later ``unnecessarily struck a defenseless receiver.'' During the latter play, Lewis hit Ochocinco after a pass fro |
