It's going to be a show.'' The opener between the defending champion Baltimore Ravens and the former champion Cincinnati Bengals is quite an opening act for one of football's best mini-dramas. The AFC North should be quite a show - Johnson is right about that - all season long. The Ravens with their rock 'em, sock 'em defense. The |

BALTIMORE (AP) -The Baltimore Ravens agreed in principle Thursday to a one-year extension with quarterback Kyle Boller, who started 34 games during his first three seasons before settling into a backup role last year. Boller's contract was to expire after this season. The extension will keep him in Baltimore through 2008 and end speculation that the Ravens were about to sign Byron Leftwich, who was released by Jacksonville this week. ``This is good news for us,'' Ravens coach Brian Billick said. ``We hav |

In Week 2, the Browns will host Cincinnati, then travel to Oakland before playing the Baltimore Ravens. That's three AFC North opponents in four weeks, a rugged stretch for any coach. What makes it so important for Crennel is his 1-11 record within the division, an unacceptable mark for a team that has improved talent but needs to start showing it |

The 6-foot-6 wideout, who has five touchdowns in his NFL career to date, lost out to holdover Devard Darling in his quest to make the roster. Ross, who appeared in fou |

BALTIMORE (AP) -Everything the Baltimore Ravens accomplished last season was undone by one bitter defeat. After compiling the best record in the history of the franchise, sweeping the hated Pittsburgh Steelers for the first time, winning the AFC North and earning the No. 2 seed in the AFC, the Ravens exited the playoffs with a 15-6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. During the offseason, many of the players thought about that game more than the 16 that preceded it. And as they prepare to start the 2007 seas |
