SEATTLE (AP) - Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez has added another NFL record to his resume with his 12th straight season of 60 or more receptions. Gonzalez had four catches Sunday against Seattle to give him 62 for the season. Gonzalez previously shared the mark with Jerry Rice. Gonzalez says bettering a record that Rice held is a major accomplishment and one of the career accolades that he'll remember. He says it also reminds him how lucky he's been to stay healthy and productive for so long. |

The Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers have clinched playoff berths, and neither team even needed to win. Atlanta gets in because the Philadelphia Eagles rallied to beat the New York Giants 38-31 on Sunday. With their 34-18 victory at Seattle, the Falcons are 12-2 and first in the NFC South. At worst, they will be a wild card, but they have a two-game lead in the division over New Orleans, which lost at Baltimore 30-24. A win next week at home over the Saints will give the Falcons the division title. |

| (MySportsbook) - In a world of self-proclaimed football geniuses, precious few saw this coming. Just three years ago this month -- with their franchise quarterback in prison and their mercenary head coach bolting back to the college ranks -- the Atlanta Falcons were on no one's prospective list of would-be NFL superpowers for the 2010 season. Which makes it all the more satisfying this week for owner Arthur Blank, whose team can clinch a playoff spot and cement its position as NFC's team to beat in the upco |

The 10-3 Saints carry a six-game winning streak into this contest and are one game back of the first-place Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South. The Ravens, at 9-4, trail the AFC North-leading Pittsburgh Steelers by a game as well and have won three of four and five of their last seven outings. Both clubs face multiple scenarios this weekend in which they can clinch a playo |

Vick, who has said many times that he's never had so many weapons to choose from with this current offense, will be playing in probably the most important game of his career since leading the Atlanta Falcons to the NFC Championship Game back in 2004. "We all know the magnitude of the game," Vick stated. "We know it's a big one. Where else would you want to be? What other position would you want to be in? And now they're being asked this week to try to break their skid against the Atlanta Falcons, who at 11-2 are the best team in the NFC. ``Particularly here at the end of the season where everybody's working hard, everybody is the recipient of the benefit of playing together for so long,'' Carroll said. ``(If) you get your stuff right you |

| Organizers made the announcement on Wednesday. The 86th annual game is the longest running college football all-star game in the country. Phillips was fired as coach of the Dallas Cowboys in November after a 1-7 start. Reeves has coached the NFL's Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants and Denver Broncos. The pair of coaches have been friends for more than two decades. Phillips was an assistant under his mentor, and he replaced Reeves as head coach of the Broncos and later the Falcons. SEAHAWKS: This wasn't the one the Seattle Seahawks wanted to lose. With the 11-2 Atlanta Falcons set to visit Qwest Field this weekend, the Seahawks wanted to get out of San Francisco with a victory over the 49ers, one that probably would have taken the Niners out of NFC West title contention and kept it a two-horse race between the Seahawks an |
