Seahawks hoping Tatupu not lost for season NFL Football 10/19/2009
Kirkland, WA (MySportsbook) - Seahawks head coach Jim Mora stated in his press conference Monday that linebacker Lofa Tatupu may not be lost for the season one day after thinking otherwise. Tatupu was injured in Sunday's 27-3 setback to the Arizona Cardinals and it was first believed that he completely tore his left pectoral muscle. However, Mora indicated it may only be a partial tear and further tests will be done to determine how long the three-time Pro Bowl selection will be sidelined. "After further revi
Warner leads Cards past Seahawks, hits 30,000-yard plateau NFL Football 10/18/2009
Seattle, WA (MySportsbook) - Kurt Warner surpassed 30,000 passing yards for his career and led the Arizona Cardinals in a 27-3 victory over the Seattle Seahawks at Qwest Field. Warner finished with 276 yards, two touchdowns and an interception on 32-of-41 passing, and now has 30,032 yards through the air for his career. He tied Dan Marino for the quickest to break the 30,000-yard mark (114 games). Tim Hightower totaled 32 yards and a score on 13 carries, and also had four grabs for 26 yards for the Cardinals
Seahawks LB Tatupu out for the year NFL Football 10/18/2009
Seattle, WA (MySportsbook) - Seattle Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu will miss the rest of the season after tearing his pectoral muscle in Sunday's 27-3 setback to the Arizona Cardinals. Tatupu appeared to suffer the injury while tackling Arizona receiver Larry Fitzgerald late in the first half. Tatupu walked off the field holding his chest with his left arm limp. Seahawks defensive end Patrick Kerney re-injured his groin in the loss and is listed as week-to-week. Tatupu had eight tackles before leaving Sunda

Suspension ends for Arizona TE Patrick Headlines 10/17/2009

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -The Arizona Cardinals have added Ben Patrick to their active roster after the conclusion of the tight end's four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Patrick, who caught a pass for Arizona in last season's Super Bowl, had practiced all week but was not added to the 53-man roster until Saturday.

Arizona created a vacancy on the active roster on Tuesday when it released defensive end Keilen Dykes and re-signed him to the practice squad.Copyright © 2005 T

Seahawks, Cardinals try to inch closer to top NFL Football 10/16/2009
(MySportsbook) - The only two teams to win the NFC West over the past five seasons will convene at Qwest Field on Sunday, when the Seattle Seahawks play host to the Arizona Cardinals. That said, no matter who wins the head-to-head battle will not find themselves in control of the division. Everyone else in the West is chasing the first-place San Francisco 49ers (3-2) at the moment, as Mike Singletary's surprising team has defeated all three of its NFC West foes to ascend the divisional ladder after several ye
Arizona defense has split personality Headlines 10/14/2009

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -The Arizona Cardinals defense has a split personality - terrific against the run, terrible against the pass.

Five weeks into the season, Arizona leads the NFL in run defense, ahead of traditional powers Baltimore, Tennessee and Pittsburgh. Against the pass, though, the Cardinals are at the very bottom, 32nd out of 32 teams.

The Cardinals have allowed 71 yards per game on the ground, and a whopping 303 per game through the air.

Known as being a finesse team for a decade with former coach Mike Holmgren and his pass-first West Coast offense, the Seahawks are transforming under Jim Mora.

Yes, the team the Arizona Cardinals will find opposite them on Sunday is a different division rival than it has been recently, and not just because the Seahawks will again be without a half dozen or more injured starters.

Mora said he hasn't explicitly attempted to make his guys tou

Austin, Rodgers-Cromartie, Baker earn NFC weekly honors NFL Football 10/14/2009
New York, NY (MySportsbook) - Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin, Arizona Cardinals cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Carolina Panthers punter Jason Baker have been named the NFC Players of the Week for Week 5 of the NFL season. Austin received his first NFL start this past Sunday due to an injury to Cowboys wideout Roy Williams and set a franchise record with 250 receiving yards on 10 catches with two touchdowns. His 60-yard score in overtime provided Dallas a 26-20 win at Kansas City. The fo

tests against a pair of AFC South foes. After making its first-ever visit to Houston's Reliant Stadium on October 25, San Francisco takes on Peyton Manning and the unbeaten Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium the following weekend. ARIZONA: The Arizona Cardinals were able to close within a half-game of the 49ers' lead atop the AFC West by holding on for a victory that came by literally the slimmest of margins. A Cardinals' defense that was powerless to stop Matt Schaub and the Houston Texans' passing attack
