NEW YORK (AP) -Arizona Cardinals safety Antrel Rolle was fined $7,500 on Friday by the NFL for hitting a defenseless receiver.

Rolle was fined for his hit on Giants tight end Kevin Boss in last Sunday night's Arizona victory.

Indianapolis Colts cornerback Jacob Lacey was fined $10,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct when he went to the ground to celebrate after a touchdown in a win over St. Louis.

DL Alan Branch finally having impact for Cardinals NFL Football 10/30/2009

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -The Arizona Cardinals coveted Alan Branch so much that they traded up to get him with the first pick in the second round of the 2007 draft.

He's been a big, literally too big, disappointment - until this season.

The coaching staff challenged the former Michigan standout to show up weighing less and in better shape, and Branch complied. That gave him his chance, and he's earned a backup role at nose tackle and defensive tackle.

ham, Alabama for a second opinion. Thursday's surgery, performed by Andrews, came after head coach Jim Mora Jr. had raised the possibility of the three-time Pro Bowl selection returning this season. The initial injury came in a Week 6 setback to the Arizona Cardinals, after which Seattle had its bye week. The fifth-year veteran has 21 tackles and one sack on the year. Second-year pro David Hawthorne will step into the middle linebacker position and make his second career start on Sunday versus Dallas. Hawthorne

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -Arizona Cardinals safety Antrel Rolle has missed practice for the second day in a row with a sore right foot.

Rolle, whose interception clinched Sunday night's 24-17 victory over the New York Giants, is uncertain for Sunday's home game against Carolina.

Wide receiver Anquan Boldin continues to be bothered by a sore ankle and was limited in practice on Thursday, as was wide receiver Steve Breaston (knee).

Jeff Feagles still learning in 22nd NFL season Headlines 10/29/2009
-When the oldest punter in the NFL has a horrible game in his 22nd season, one has to wonder whether his career will be ending soon.

How else to explain Jeff Feagles' four straight punts between 28 and 35 yards in the New York Giants' loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night?

The 43-year-old Feagles just smiled when asked about the so-called slump, and then held his hand out about a foot apart to explain what went wrong.

It had nothing to do with his right leg, which has taken him to the field an NFL
