Things are nearly as dire in Chicago, where the Bears' listless 41-21 home loss to the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday was the team's third in its last four games following a 3-1 start, and dropped the team to 4-4. Arizona scored on its first six possessions of the game, including touchdowns on its first four, and had already amassed 21 first-downs and 3 |

The Bears (4-4) are trying to find their way, too, following a 41-21 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Both teams had little time to game plan with the quick turnaround. Chicago's defense was exposed. ``We're in need of a real attitude adjustment,'' Briggs said. San Francisco's offense was sloppy. Quarterback Alex Smith threw three i |

| (MySportsbook) - The Arizona Cardinals weren't easy to figure out last season, when the team lost four of its final six regular-season tests before defying the experts with three straight playoff wins and getting an eyelash from besting the favored Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII. The 2009 campaign has been an even more puzzling one for the defending NFC champions. Arizona is 4-0 on the road at the season's midway point, but has gone just 1-3 at University of Phoenix Stadium, where the club had enjoye |

It was billed as a knock-down, drag-out tussle between the Chicago Bears, a team that had been dominant at its Soldier Field home, and the Arizona Cardinals, who had played their best football on the road. It was hyped as a quarterback battle to watch between Kurt Warner, the steely veteran, and Jay Cutler, the NFL's future at the position. Ultimately, it was all that and more. CHICAGO (AP) -Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin was inactive for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears because of a sprained right ankle. Boldin reinjured the ankle in the third quarter of last week's 34-21 loss to Carolina, but had hoped to be able to play against the Bears. Arizona linebacker Gerald Hayes was also out Sunday with a back injury. Chicago wide receiver Devin Hester was active, even though he was limited during the week by a sore right ankle. He missed two practices.Copyright |
